D.W. Hunter, the great grandson of Anna Short Harrington, the woman who became “Aunt Jemima,” has filed a class action lawsuit against PepsiCo Inc., its subsidiary Quaker Oats Co. , Pinnacle Foods and its onetime suitor, Hillshire Brands Co., on behalf of all of her great grandchildren.
this is the only article I’ve seen that has mad details about why this lawsuit is being filed.
Yas!!!!! Reparations at last!
robin williams was bipolar. please stop calling it depression. bipolar disorder is ignored and misdiagnosed enough. please continue to talk about his life but stop saying it was simply depression he struggled with.
anyone else noticing a trend here?
didn’t know ancient egyptians looked like mayo…
RHAMSES IM CHOKING LIKE THEY DIDNT SEE THE STATUES OR NOTHING
Ok but of course the servants and thieves are black ok i see yall
this is bullshit. no one go see this bullshit movie
If people are going to talk about Robin Williams’ mental health in order to raise awareness, please understand that he had bipolar disorder. And please understand that it is different from clinical depression. It requires awareness and understanding just as much as depression.
So people are really on some shit where people can’t be sad over both Mike Brown AND Robin Williams passing?
…Are you serious?
That’s like saying you can’t be mad about losin your job AND your mama bein in a terrible accident.
Like both events are terrible. A person having their life stolen from them is just as bad as someone deciding they couldn’t fight for their life anymore.
That’s all I’m gon say.
Robin Williams just died, and although the news is saddening, it pains me even more that his death will overshadow and drown out the deaths of Michael Brown and other black men who have been killed these past couple of weeks. Even though Robin Williams may have killed himself, even though he was allowed to live past his 20s, even though he wasn’t about to get married or start college. I know his life didn’t matter any less but still…
Major news stations will have well-known phycologists review his case and everyone will wonder what went wrong thus finally sparking some conversations about the taboo subject of suicide (which is great of course).
But that means they probably won’t talk about race relations and tensions in this country, they won’t talk about the brown boys who have lost their lives.
They are already changing their breaking news status. And I’m tired"
ok but robin williams is about to get infinitely more support than the child who was just gunned down by police and this makes me so sad
i am sad for him but my twitter feed is filled with white people who have said nothing about the recent deaths of black folks and they are blowing the place up now talking about Robin and mental health issues.
The problem is that they knew Robin Williams as a person that had an illusion of intimacy with them, but with Mike they just see another black face.
