The name's Yvonne, how do you do? Just a 20-something trying to get through life. Started with the intent of artistic endeavors but got sidetracked with reblogs. Lover of creative things, equality, Doctor Who and A:TLA. She'd love to hear from you!

  • Do not forget Michael Brown
  • Do not forget how the media dehumanized him and tried to justify his murder
  • Do not forget how peaceful protests were painted as savage riots
  • Do not forget police armed with military grade weapons terrorized and arrested black civilians
  • Do not forget Darren Wilson being awarded over $200,000 in fundraiser donations for murdering an unarmed black child
  • Do not forget that this system was not built to defend us, but to control us
  • Do not forget Ferguson

cannibalism?

Yea. Uh. No. Let’s not do what pro-lifers do and take these quotes out of their original context just to make some arbitrary point that may not even be accurate?????

please give me the context that makes cannibalism okay I’m not even joking right now I want to hear that context so bad before I have to go to sleep tonight

The Bible is readily available online. On many, many websites. You could, oh I don’t know, look it up?????

Judgment against Jerusalem…9'And because of all your abominations, I will do among you what I have not done, and the like of which I will never do again.10Therefore, fathers will eat their sons among you, and sons will eat their fathers; for I will execute judgments on you and scatter all your remnant to every wind. 11'So as I live,' declares the Lord GOD, 'surely, because you have defiled My sanctuary with all your detestable idols and with all your abominations, therefore I will also withdraw, and My eye will have no pity and I will not spare.
I was curious since I’ve was catholic most of my life and I never knew it was totes cool to eat people

okAY, ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW
Are you actually serious.
I am here, in great distress, running my hands over my face because so much here is so grievously taken out of context.
Basically, it’s so wrong, it’s laughable.
To give you an example, the OP references Matthew 18:6 as it being okay in the Bible to drown kids. Let me actually copy and paste Matthew 18:1-6 (NET) here so you can see what it really says.

At that time the disciples came to Jesus saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?”  He called a child, had him stand among them,  and said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn around and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven!  Whoever then humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  And whoever welcomes a child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the open sea.

Basically, don’t say anything about what the Bible does and does not say unless you actually read it. Please know your facts. Please read your crap. And please do not misconstrue anyone’s stuff to fit your own private agenda. It’s as bad as any other fundamentalist. So stop.
The rest of my deconstructive rant is below the break.
There are some points that I will hand over to whoever make this graphic. For instance, Genesis 38:24 is talking about Judah saying his widowed daughter in law should be put to death because she somehow got pregnant when her husband is dead. In Genesis 19, Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed and that included everyone in there. And in Joshua 10:36, a whole town was destroyed in war with no survivors.
I think that’s all the cookies I can hand out here. Let’s analyze now.
The two verses referenced in Hosea are all prophecies about what will happen to Israel for not following God’s law. In a sense, curses. Hosea 13 speaks of war, horrible times, where a whole city is getting destroyed and no one is spared. Hosea 9 talks about how the ones worshiping fertility gods will be infertile and not able to have children. In Numbers 5, you can see that this is the procedure a man took if he thought his wife was cheating. What the priest does is gives her a bitter water and curses her (actually read it, it says “curse” at least 5 times) saying that if she cheated, she will miscarry all the kids she has, as well as her belly swelling up and her leg rotting off. In short, none of this was wanted by anyone.
Leviticus 27 is talking about a money offering for dedicating a person to the Lord. They don’t list people younger than a month because they were too young to be brought into the temple according to the Leviticus laws. And in Numbers 3, there was a census to count men in the tribe of Levi to become priests, but that wouldn’t work well for a kid that can’t go in the temple, now would it?
Matthew 18:6 and drowning, took care of that.
Deuteronomy 21:21 and stoning: They’re obviously talking about a full-grown son. “They must declare to the elders of his city, “Our son is stubborn and rebellious and pays no attention to what we say—he is a glutton and drunkard.”” Drunkard? At 2 years? Nope.
Ezekiel 5:10 and cannibalism: another curse on the nation basically saying that the people will turn into savages.
Deuteronomy 32:24 and starvation: a curse about famine. Did you really not see this coming?
I still don’t know where they got stabbing or burning, and I’m not sure why they added that because all this was a stretch in itself. I don’t know why this was created in the first place, but just like anything else, fact check. Know what the hell you’re talking about. OKay? Thx

Tell me again how pregnancy is just an inconvenience and abortion rights aren’t necessary?

This is the amount you pay if your child is healthy.  If there are any complications with mother and/or child, this amount increases dramatically.

Not sure where you are at, but in some states if you apply for Medicaid, they will pay the bulk of the bill if your income is eligible.

Hey! You!

do you like comics?

do you like ancient egypt?

do you like both of those things combined under a really awful pun?

great, because then maybe you will like a project me and my best friend mary are putting together! Its been months since i made an advertisement post about it, and now with so many new followers, perhaps i can convince even more people to throw their lives away waiting for this project.

Kez is just some lady who finds herself mysteriously transported to Ancient Egypt, she has no idea what to do, no where to go and no way to get back, but thank god her phone is still working, and god bless her phone provider because the internet is still working. Kez is thrown into the thick of Ancient Egyptian politics and royalty and finds herself the centre of attention and using her phone, quickly becomes hailed as a prophet by the Pharaoh and his entourage. Kez must keep pretending she’s some magic oracle and figure out a way back home or be caught lying and probably, most likely fairly certainly be killed on the spot.

When her phone runs out of battery and she starts having to make up predictions, welllllllll things don’t go according to plan

Rosetta Phone is set largely in 18th dynasty Egypt and a time consisting of peace and security and currently under the rule of the Pharaoh Maahes, who is nice and all but hasn’t got a clue about warfare or politics and mostly wastes his time building things no one cares about in places people have never heard of while his wives do all the gritty stuff. Good thing he has Kez to tell him what to do with her phone or something, too bad she took the job from his priests and court advisers and now they’re all angry at her, along with apparently every one else who isn’t Maahes.

check out our progress blog and get hyped for when it comes out, which will hopefully be like next year some time!

"Rosetta Phone" are you kidding me rn that is amazing

I am very excited about this.

I lost my shit at the title.

DO SHE GET SERVICE THO

That’s my main question too…how is she getting service?!

"When I was a kid, I believed you would become a mermaid when you went in the water to swim".
I really loved the little mermaid as a kid growing up so I had the warped perception you became a mermaid when you entered the water ahaha. This is me learning to swim with my cousin! This piece is for a gallery show at work.
